The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on its environmental assessment of American Gypsum Company’s proposal to expand its Eagle-Gypsum Mine roughly two miles north of the town of Gypsum in Eagle County. The Eagle-Gypsum Mine currently has a surface disturbance of about 191 acres, which would increase by about 100 acres under the proposal.
