Ballot drop boxes are open for the November 3 General Election

Voters can return their completed ballots to any Garfield County ballot drop box

COMMUNITY NOTICE
October 12, 2026

Voters may return their completed ballot to any Garfield County ballot drop box or any official ballot drop box in Colorado from now through 7 p.m. on Election Day, November 3.

With such a large ballot this year, voters are encouraged to return their voted mail ballot early to allow time for processing and to ensure timely election results on the night of the General Election.

Voters who choose to return their ballots by mail should mail them no later than Oct. 26 to allow sufficient time for delivery to the Garfield County Clerk & Recorder’s Office. It is very important to return both pages of the ballot and ensure the return envelope has the voter’s required signature and two postage stamps.

Oct. 26 is also the last day to register to vote or update a voter registration and receive a ballot by mail. After that date, eligible residents may register to vote or update their registration at a vote center and vote in person.

Sign up to track the status of your ballot at Ballotrax. Additional election information, voting locations, and useful resources are available on the Garfield County Elections webpage.
