Community Care Fair coming to Garfield County on October 12
Free event connects residents with resources and services

The Garfield County Department of Human Services Case Management Agency (CMA) is hosting a Care Fair on Oct. 12, 2026, at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library, 815 Cooper Ave., from 12-6 p.m. in the Friends Community Room. This free community event welcomes families, caregivers, older adults, and individuals with disabilities to connect with local resources, programs, and services that support health, independence, and well-being.
The Care Fair brings together service providers, community organizations, healthcare partners, and local agencies, as well as national providers to answer questions and help residents learn about available resources.

Attendees can connect with organizations that provide:
- Services for older adults and caregivers
- Disability resources and support
- Benefits and public-assistance programs
- Home and community-based services
- Medicaid waiver- and Community First Choice-approved services
“The Care Fair is an opportunity for residents to meet directly with organizations that can help them navigate services and available support in our community,” said Brent Basham, CMA supervisor for Garfield County Human Services. “We want individuals and families to know what resources exist and how to access them when they need assistance.”
For those who cannot attend the Glenwood Springs event, the Care Fair is also coming to Edwards, Colorado, on Oct. 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Colorado Mountain College, 150 Miller Ranch Road, lecture hall, room 118.
