Rifle motor vehicle office reopens at 1:30 p.m., August 14

The issue with the State of Colorado’s motor vehicle system has been resolved and the Rifle office reopens at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 14.

August 11, 2025 – The State of Colorado’s motor vehicle system is down at the Garfield County Clerk and Recorder’s Office in Rifle due to the Lee Fire. The estimated time for repair is unknown, but the system is operational at the clerk’s office at the Garfield County Courthouse, 109 8th Street, Suite 200, in Glenwood Springs.
