PRESS RELEASE
April 13, 2026
Garfield County Road and Bridge crews are addressing a large pothole and repairs on the County Road 108 / Thompson Creek Road bridge over the Crystal River near Carbondale. The bridge is located near the intersection of County Road 106 / Satank Road.
A lane closure with stop lights on both sides of the bridge is in place to manage travel in a single direction each way. One lane of the county road will be closed for assessment and repairs, possibly for an extended length of time. Expect brief delays for alternating use of the bridge.
Garfield County is obtaining an engineering assessment of the impact of the damage and need for repairs for long-term viability of the bridge.
More information will be available once the assessment is complete.
