Xcel Energy transmission line rebuild work from Rifle to Silt
Work taking place along CR 346 and heading east

Xcel Energy crews are doing some surface work on the Mitchell Creek to Ute Rifle transmission line rebuild project starting early next week. The crews are leveling the ground and grading for access in several places along the transmission corridor for the eventual use of heavy equipment, materials, and construction activities that are anticipated to begin next year. No traffic disruptions are projected during this phase and adjacent property owners have been notified. Workers are starting just east of Rifle, along County Road 346, and working their way east, along the current transmission line, toward Silt.
