Pharmacy & primary care access
Local hospitals and health care centers may offer tobacco cessation support.
Local pharmacists can prescribe nicotine replacement therapy — including for Medicaid customers — without a doctor visit. Ask your local pharmacy for details.
Veterans can contact Veteran’s Services for help connecting to cessation resources.
Insurance coverage
Under federal law, most insurance plans cover:
- Tobacco cessation counseling
- Nicotine replacement therapy
- Certain prescription medications
Many services are available at low or no cost.
