Vote and return both ballot pages in 2026 General Election

Clerk and Recorder’s Office reminds people to return full ballot

COMMUNITY NOTICE
October 6, 2026

Ballots were mailed to all active registered voters (38,344 ballots) in Garfield County this week. The Garfield County Clerk and Recorder is encouraging voters to return their mail ballots early and reminding them to return both ballot pages in the provided return envelope with the voter’s signature. This year’s ballot is one of the largest in Colorado history with 13 state questions.

The 2026 General Election is Tuesday, November 3. All Garfield County’s 24-hour ballot boxes are ready to receive voted ballots on Oct. 7. Early voting centers open on Monday, Oct. 19, at the Community Center in Glenwood Springs, and at the South Hall of the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Rifle.

A limited special edition “I Voted” sticker honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 150th anniversary of Colorado is available at ballot drop boxes and vote centers while supplies last.

State and local Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR) notices were mailed last week that provide detailed information on all tax issues that could change spending or impact taxpayer refunds in Colorado. If you have not received one of these notices in the mail, copies are available at your local library, and a link is also available on the Garfield County Elections web page.
